( He didn’t mean to sound so dense but of all the things he expected Magnus to say right now, “move in with me” was not it. Alec can’t say he hasn’t thought about it himself. He increasingly found himself thinking about what it would be like to live with Magnus, to share the same space, to not have to leave if he didn’t want to. He’s never lived outside of the institute with the occasional trips to Idris. This is a new and terrifying step in their relationship and in Alec becoming who he is meant to be.
But now that the words were out, Alec couldn’t help but want it. More than anything. To know that when he left the institute at the end of the day he was coming home to Magnus. He just had to know that Magnus was sure, the this is really what he wants. )
